The city’s public transport system bus service serves three cities - Tábor – Sezimovo Ústí – Planá nad Lužnicí and the surrounding villages to a radius of up to 10km from the City of Tábor. Tickets cost 6, 8, 10 and 12,- CZK (fares depend on distance and the time of transit from the departure point to the place of destination) and can be purchased at newspaper stands, the main bus station and automatic ticket dispensers at junction stops (exceptionally from the bus driver).
Children to the age of 6 are carried free of charge, discounted tickets are available for disabled persons, persons over 70 years old and children from 6 to 15 years of age.
Bus nos. 10, 11, 13, 15, 16 offer the best transport in the city centre, having the shortest intervals (5-10 minutes during peak hours and 20-30 minutes during off peak hours). Most buses stop running between 10 and 11pm. Only bus no. 11 runs at night (between 11pm and 4am on week days, with intervals of 1-2 hours and intervals of 1 hour on weekends). Buses run according to Sunday timetables during public holidays, while special timetables apply during the school summer holidays (July – August), Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
