Tábor Meetings Festival 2009

The annual international festival, The Tábor Meetings, is, beyond doubt, one of the highlights of the summer season not only in Tábor, but also in the whole region. During this event, Tábor returns to its medieval Hussite past and visitors can experience the magic atmosphere of the old town lit by burning torches, drink mead and enjoy crispy roast meat or buckwheat pancakes. There is a varied cultural programme for everyone featuring performances by a number of Czech as well as foreign performers. However, Tábor does not only focus on history. You can listen to various kinds of music, watch theatre performances in the open air, visit “The Children’s Paradise” or watch costume parades or grandiose fireworks.
